This Refund Policy applies to payments made to Legal Bruz LLP through its website, payment links, UPI, bank transfer, or other approved payment channels for consultations, fixed-fee packages, filing assistance, advisory support, and related services.
1. General Principle
Because legal, advisory, drafting, strategy, and filing-related services involve allocation of professional time, review effort, analysis, coordination, and case handling from the time work is accepted, refunds are limited and are subject to this Policy, package-specific terms, and applicable law.
2. Non-Refundable Components
Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, the following amounts are generally non-refundable once paid or incurred:
- consultation fees;
- fees for time already spent on review, strategy, calls, drafting, filings, or follow-up;
- government fees, statutory fees, registry fees, stamp duty, taxes, and official charges;
- third-party charges, courier charges, notary charges, search charges, or out-of-pocket expenses;
- payment gateway or transaction charges where non-refundable to us.
3. When a Refund May Be Considered
A refund may be considered in the following situations:
A. Duplicate payment
If you accidentally make the same payment more than once for the same service, the excess amount may be refunded after verification.
B. Non-commencement of work
If payment is received but Legal Bruz LLP has not commenced work and no substantial time or resources have been allocated, a partial or full refund may be considered after deduction of processing charges, if any.
C. Service declined by Legal Bruz LLP
If, after payment, Legal Bruz LLP declines the matter due to conflict, legal impropriety, lack of jurisdiction, or inability to accept the engagement, the refundable amount, if any, will be determined after deducting consultation, review, and processing charges already incurred.
D. Proven billing error
If an overcharge or billing error is established, the excess amount may be refunded or adjusted.
4. No Refund Situations
Refunds shall ordinarily not be available in the following cases:
- you change your mind after making payment;
- you fail to provide documents, information, approvals, or instructions in time;
- a filing, application, or advisory outcome is not favorable;
- the trademark is objected to, opposed, refused, or delayed by the authority;
- timelines are extended due to registry, government, hearing, examination, portal, or third-party issues;
- you stop responding after work has commenced;
- you engage another service provider after work has commenced with us;
- the package includes digital deliverables, strategy, call time, document review, or customized work already provided.
5. Consultation Fees
Consultation fees are non-refundable once the consultation slot is booked and confirmed. However, at our discretion, one rescheduling may be permitted if requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
6. Fixed-Fee Packages
For fixed-fee packages, refund eligibility depends on the stage reached:
- Before work starts: possible refund after deduction of payment processing / administrative charges.
- After intake / review starts: refund may be limited to the unutilized portion, if any, after deducting professional time already spent.
- After draft / filing / submission / advisory delivery starts: no refund, except in case of duplicate payment or proven billing error.
7. Registry / Government Delays
No refund shall arise merely because a government department, registry, authority, tribunal, or third party delays or does not decide the matter within expected timelines.
8. Free Brand Check / Preliminary Review
Where a free or discounted preliminary review is followed by a paid service, the paid service fee is for professional work beyond the preliminary review stage and is subject to this Policy.
9. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, you must send an email to help@legalbruz.com with:
- full name;
- registered phone number / email;
- invoice or payment reference;
- date of payment;
- service purchased; and
- clear reason for the refund request.
10. Review and Decision
Each refund request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Legal Bruz LLP reserves the right to ask for supporting details and to determine refund eligibility based on work status, costs already incurred, and applicable law.
11. Refund Timeline
If a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be processed to the original payment source or by bank transfer within 15 business days, subject to banking and payment gateway timelines.
12. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute, you agree to first write to us at help@legalbruz.com so the issue may be reviewed and resolved. Initiation of an unjustified chargeback after service delivery or substantial commencement of work may be treated as a breach of these Terms.
